A call to have dropped kerbs at the road leading out of Danescourt shopping precinct into Danescourt Way has led to swift action.
Wheelchair users, together with pedestrians pushing buggies and shopping trolleys will no longer have to negotiate two kerbs to cross near the retirement home after the Danescourt Community Association (DCA) raised the problem with agents Cooke & Arkwright, asking if dropped kerbs could be installed. The matter was resolved within days and DCA chairman Edgar Gibbs has written to the agents, thanking them for their prompt response. October 2010 |
