At a recent meeting of the DCA committee a question was raised regarding the operation of the lighting on Lanks Hill Foootbridge (the footbridge over the railway at Danescourt Station).  Councillor Sean Driscoll took this up with Transport for Wales and received the following response "The contractor who originally installed the lighting went to site to investigate, and confirmed there was an issue with the timeclock, which controls when the lighting turns on and off throughout the day & night.

Previously, the timeclock was set to switch on the lights from 21:00 to 06:30. With evenings getting dark around 18:00 now, that obviously isn’t suitable for pedestrians.

Therefore, the team has reset the timer, so the lights switch on at 15:00 and turn off at 09:00 in the morning.

The lights should now be working as normal, but if anyone reports any further faults, please do get in touch and we’ll report it to the contractor. "
