Work to stabilise embankment in Radyr Court Road (Spooky Lane) has started
The Council have identified a short area to the northern side of Radyr Court Road (Pedestrian section between Danescourt Way and the river Taff) that is eroding, causing the ground, trees and vegetation to become unstable.
In order to make this area safe it is proposed to construct a small wall at the base of the slope and re-profile the slope. This will require the trees and vegetation to be cut back in the affected area prior to the work, the area will be re-planted on completion of the ground works.
To ensure that the scheme has the least impact on the local environment, independent Ecologists and Arboricultural Consultants have been consulted and their recommendations, including replanting trees, have been included in the scheme.
Radyr Court Road is closed from Danescourt Way to just before the railway bridge until the work is due to be completed on August 28th |
