Dull and Depressing Coop PDF Print E-mail

What do you think of the new paint scheme for the Coop? We find it dull and depressing.

We have written to Cooke & Arkwright, the agents for the land owners, regarding the colour of the Co-op. Our points are the colour is dull and depressing, and it will suck light out of the area which goes against the effort we put in to get lighting installed ready for these winter nights.

The majority of comments we have received have been negative and do not want the pub to follow in the same colour. There is also a question over whether planning permission required for such a drastic change in colour

We'll keep you updated.
